Natural Capital Credit and P2R Projector interaction
For new Reef Credit projects there is no need to use P2R Projector. New projects should be created directly in Natural Capital Credit. However, for a limited time, if you have an existing project (collection) in P2R Projector, these can be imported into Natural Capital Credit.
For existing projects you will need to import the baseline years (one collection for each year), and reporting years (one collection for each year) for which you haven’t claimed reef credits. Years that have already had reef credits approved do not need to be imported.
Computational version control
The computational version for your Natural Capital Credit project is set at the time of creation of the first block of the first year of the baseline period. This computational version is locked for the life of the project (unless instructed otherwise from the market administrator). If you have already started a project in P2R Projector you will have a P2R Projector ‘collection’ for each year of the baseline and for each reporting year. To ensure the project uses the same computational version as you have used in P2R Projector, when you import the P2R Projector collection that represents the first year of the baseline, Natural Capital Credit detects the computational version and sets that for the project. All subsequent P2R Projector collections that you import (for baseline years 2-7 and reporting years) will have this initial computational version applied. The computational version for a project cannot be changed once it has been set.

Watch the tutorial on how to import P2R Projector collections. Note that Natural Capital Credit projects cannot be imported into P2R Projector. This is strictly a one way process implemented for a limited time to allow the transition of Reef Credit projects out of P2R Projector.

2. Upload P2R Projector collection for baseline year 1
Set the project computational version by importing the P2R Projector collection (‘Spatial Data’ export) for year 1 of the baseline period

3. Import baseline years 2-7
Import P2R Projector collections for the remaining baseline years (or complete the practice change surveys in Natural Capital-Credit)
Calculate the baseline nutrient load
Baseline load is the average load across the 7 baseline years
4. Import P2R Projector collection for reporting year/s
Import the P2R Projector collection for the reporting years (the ‘Spatial Data’ download in P2R Projector)
Calculate the nutrient load for the reporting year
Based on the practice surveys, calculate the nutrient load for the reporting year from the project areas and other areas of the farming enterprise
Check for potential ‘leakage’
Ensure their is no increase in pollution load from non-project areas for reporting year compared to baseline
5. Submit project for verification
Submit the reporting year surveys and supporting information for external verification
Pre-approved verifier reviews project
Pre-approved verifier checks the reporting year details and communicates with you during the review process via the ‘chat’ functionality
6. Project verified
Project is verified for this reporting year
7. Submit Verified Credits to Scheme administrator
Send the project reporting year summary to the Reef Credit Scheme administrator for the generation of Reef Credits according to the verified water quality improvement
Invoice sent
On verification of creditable water quality savings an invoice will be sent to the project owner
